His arsenal of white magic is bigger than black magic (Monk can't use elemental spells like Fire, Ice and Bolt, but he can use the black spells like Haste, Temper and Enchant. Monk can also use the Monk/Master type spells too. His magic list is awesome, can use Heal and Healra, all cure spells, and all Dia spells (which is handy against undead, and exclusive to mod of balance, evil type enemies). Heck even a Monk's attack power at max level is almost as much as Master, so I find that even Monk beats the master too. Yeah I find monk better than Ranger and Ninja in my opinion. I have to say he's a cross between regular FF1 monk and Red Mage, but surprisingly his stats are quite good, that its better than Ranger and Ninja. This class reminds me of how Golbez works in Final Fantasy IV: The After Years (Golbez is also one of my favorites in that game too).ġ1.) Monk - How do I explain this? He works just like in regular FF1, but now he has a bunch of magic up his sleeve, learning up to level 7. He'll last longer in battle (thanks to great defense and HP) than Archmage.

Armor and weapon selection is so great, and Battlemage can learn almost all Black Magic, except for Flare, and can learn some white magic (I tend to give him the Nul spells as one of his most important white spells.) Although his black magic power isn't as specialized as Archmage, its still enough to get the job done. This class had me impressed, and has become my favorite of the 12 classes. Because of his attack power, defense, and HP being good, Knight has to be one of my favorite classes.ġ0.) Battlemage - A cross between Warrior and Black Mage. I find him better than Rogue in my opinion.

His speed is also lower than Paladin too, but because the Knight isn't as much of a tank, I gave him speed pluses to be a little faster than Paladin. Knight hits harder than Paladin, hence why most of his stats except for strength and luck are a bit lower. The last 3 are quite interesting.ĩ.) Knight - He is the Warrior in Mod of Balance, and doesn't use magic.
